Happy New Year!
As my staff and I prepare for the 2018 elections, we are committed to doing everything possible to ensure you are well informed regarding elections. Though there is not a Presidential election this year, voters in Dixie County and around the state will have many important decisions to make. Our state will elect a new Governor and it's likely there will be more than 10 proposed constitutional amendments to Florida's constitution on the November 2018 ballot---that's in addition to any local initiatives. You, as a voter can help us as well by being Election Ready and checking on your voter status. To check your voter registration status, click on the "Voter Look-Up" tab at the top of this webpage and input your information to review/update your voter information. You can also request a vote-by-mail ballot (if needed), find out your assigned precinct and address, along with lots of other information. You may also call or stop by the elections office to inquire about any of the above. Being election ready will ensure a smooth process for you when the election cycle begins.
As always, if you need anything, do not hesitate to reach out to our office by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: (352) 498-1216

Periodically, the Supervisor of Elections will send address confirmation notices to registered voters when the post office has indicated that these voters have moved outside the supervisor’s county, or left a forwarding address, and have not voted in the last two General Elections. All voters who have been mailed an address confirmation notice and who do not return the form within 30 days will be placed on the inactive voter registration list. Voters on the inactive list can be reinstated by updating their voter registration, appearing to vote, or requesting an absentee ballot, providing their status has not changed. However, after two general elections, from the date the notice was sent, all inactive voters who show no activity will be removed from the registration records and must register again in order to vote. Est. of 2000 Address Confirmation cards will be mailed out in December 2017 For any questions, please contact the Supervisor of Elections Office, (352) 498-1216 or 1217.
