Vote-by-Mail Ballot Information
WHO CAN VOTE BY MAIL?
If you are a qualified registered voter of Taylor County, you are entitled to vote by mail (F.S. 101.62). The voter must personally vote the ballot unless assistance is requested by the voter.
REQUESTING A VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT (F.S.101.62)
A vote by mail ballot may be requested for a specific election or for all Taylor County elections through the end of the calendar year of the next regularly scheduled General Election. The request can be made:

or online at www.dixievotes.com. Only the voter or a designated member of his or her immediate family or legal guardian can request a vote by mail ballot for the voter. Immediate family means the voter's spouse, the parent, child, grandparent, or sibling of the voter or of the voter's spouse, or legal guardian.
If the ballot is requested to be mailed to an address other than the voter's address on file in the Florida Voter Registration System, the request must be in writing and signed.
A request from the voter must include the following information:
The name of the voter for whom the ballot is requested.
The voter's address (residence and mailing).
The voter's date of birth.
The voter's Drivers License #, the voter's Florida Identification Card # or the last four digits of the voter's Social Security #, whichever can be verified in the Supervisor's records.
The voter's signature (written request only).
If the voter has designated an immediate family member or legal guardian to request his/her vote by mail ballot, that designee must provide the above information in addition to the following:
The requester's name.
The requester's address.
The requester's Drivers License #, the requester's Florida Identification Card # or the last four digits of the requester's Social Security #.
The requester's relationship to the voter.
The requester's signature (written requests only).

Deadline to Return Vote by Mail Ballots
All voted mail ballots must be received in your Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7:00 pm on election night.
3 Ways to Return a Voted Mail Ballot
Return your ballot through the USPS - remember to give your ballot at least 7 days mailing time to be received in a timely manner.
Hand-deliver your ballot back to the elections office located at 229 NE 351 Hwy, Cross City, FL during normal office hours.
Take advantage of our secure ballot intake station located inside your Supervisor of Elections office during early voting hours.
Note: Vote-by-Mail ballots can not be forwarded. The postal service recommends that voters mail ballots one week before the due date (Election Day) to account for any unforseen events or weather issuses and to allow for timely receipt and processing by election officials.
